Darkness Rising

I really enjoy painting and having no idea what my finished product will be. This piece, which I decided to name "Darkness Rising," was one of those unforeseen final products. It was just me and my paintbrush, when inspiration struck.

It is a triptych illustrating 3 different stages of sunset at varying locations. I used vivid reds and oranges in the first two stages, and then a more peaceful deep purple for the last stage.

This painting is three 4"x4" acrylic on canvas. The paint is taken around the edges of the piece so that it may be hung directly on the wall.
